Blogger: Adding the Email Me Link

It is important for visitors to have a quick and easy way to contat you when visiting your blog.  Email Me or Contact Me links are wonderful.

1. Go to the Dashboard, choose Layout, Page Elements.

2. Then click Add a Gadget (or Page Element depending on what version of

   Blogger) in whichever column you have.

3. Choose HTML/JavaScript.

4. You can leave the label/title blank.

5. In the larger text box area, type the following HTML code: 
   
   <a href="mailto:heather@blogsbyheather.com">Email Me</a>
   
   

6. Save and you’re done. Just drag/drop where you want it to be (near the top probably under the ABOUT ME).

Hi Kim!
No problem at all!

Okay...my link works for me. I use MS Outlook as my email client. This method of "mailto:" will work for most people who use MS Outlook or Outlook Express for their email. However, if you use AOL...this may not work for you but may work for you visitors. If you put it on your blog...let me know and I'll test it to see if it works for me.

Sorry to bother you again! I tried installing this on my blog but it's not working. I also tried to email you via your link under your picture and it doesn't work either. Might there be a value missing in the html code?
